From artisanal fishing in Africa to traditional anthropological subjects, through his photography Ibrahima Mbengue tells the story of the Continent, a world of light and overflowing magnificent diversity. Ibrahima Mbengue works in Italy as well where he takes part in different research initiatives.

Originally from Dakar, Mbengue has developed a visual approach that combines artistic research and social commitment. He grew up in Dakar-Plateau, in an environment rich in cultural stimuli, nurtiring a passion for visual art from an early age, influenced by his older brothers already active as photographers. Through his training at the Forum Media Center in Dakar he acquired technical skills in filming, sound, editing, and production, thus beginning his professional career.
